Unrolling or hand spreading lays a thick, compacted 'mat' of straw. Jeantil machines 'fluff up' the straw and so, it is more absorbent when it floats down onto the existing bedding.
The other advantage against hand spreading or unrolling is that the fibrous outer surface of the straw stalks is broken up allowing more moisture to be absorbed.

The P3800RE-E and P5800RE-E are dual-purpose, specifically designed to shred silage bales for feeding and to shred and blow straw bales for bedding.

Ideal for beef farmers where beef cattle are rarely fed a true 'mixed ration'.
