Pioneers of the flywheel concept in the '60's, the Mengele SH40 is renowned for its sheer strength and power efficiency.

The flywheel stores kinetic energy which means that around 20% less horsepower is required for the same output when compared to a cylinder chop machine. This stored energy smoothes out the peak power demands in an uneven swath to give a more even r.p.m.

Clearances within the housing (due nature of flywheel design) means that Mengele forage harvesters are much less prone to damage should a foreign object get caught inside.

A clean sweep with the 1850mm pick-up
Wide, bulky or uneven swaths with short crop are no problem for the MENGELE pickup.
• Closely spaced tines (54mm apart) ensure a clean pick-up of short crops
• Independent suspension of low-diameter pick up and easily adjustable in-line pick up wheels enable the machine to follow the ground contours without breaking flow of the swath
• Tough auger to ensure an even in-take of the crop.
• Slip-clutch to protect against damage in the unlikely event of overload
